Nada Abu Taleb is a Yemeni visual artist, practicing since 2011, and using art as a profound method of self-expression and exploration. Her artistic journey began with encouragement from her mother and culminated in her first public recognition in 2011, when she received the President's Award for Fine Arts in Sana’a. In 2014, she earned her second accolade—a “Behance Coin” for fine arts—at Behance Sana’a.

The same year, Nada hosted her debut solo exhibition, “When Feelings Act,” at the Basement Cultural Foundation in Yemen. She continued her artistic growth in 2015, graduating from the British Council’s Springboard program (Artists Edition) and presenting a sculpture in the ceremonial exhibition “SHE.”

Her work gained international exposure in 2016 when she participated in the Yemen Peace Project’s second International Yemeni Film & Arts Festival, an event that celebrated and showcased Yemeni artists on a global stage. The following year, in 2017, Nada held her second solo exhibition, “Leave It Unspoken,” further cementing her reputation as a compelling and evocative artist.

In 2023, she was awarded the Artist Protection Fund fellowship, leading to a four-month residency at the American Academy in Rome, followed by a one-month residency at the Bogliasco Foundation. These opportunities further cemented her identity as a resilient artist with a story to tell—one shaped by perseverance, creativity, and a profound connection to her journey.
